Metatrader is maybe the most popular trading platform in the world. But which version should you choose - MT4 or mt5?
MetaTrader 4 is plain, and doesn’t have any specific features, like economic calendar, but it’s great for programing and for creating a trading robot. Here you can trade only currency pairs and there are 9 timeframes only.
MT5 is much wider. Here you can trade not only Forex pairs, but commodities, metals, stocks, indices and crypto as well! It has 21 timeframes available, more than 50 various tools and instruments available. Economic calendar is already there. Moreover, the trading strategy backtesting is much faster here. MT5 is amazing for advanced programming and due to that, you have numerous autotrade opportunities.
Pay attention: MT4 and MT5 can’t be synchronized with each other, so if you decide to switch from MT4 to MT5 - you can’t transfer all your settings and installed things that you had before. Both of them have their pros and cons, and it depends on you how quick you can get used to.
